  I actually have only ever worked in this trust. I trained here as a student back in 2007, and I’ve been in the trust ever since. And I just think it’s the development opportunities, the learning opportunities that the trust offers.

  And when you say you work as part of King’s College Hospital, there’s just something so immensely proud to work for such a good, reputable hospital. And as I say, it’s the learning opportunities that are the biggest draw, I think, to keep staff here and keep them developing.

  I think to come and work at King’s you would be well supported. There are very good educational pathways. The management structure allows people to receive the right pastoral care and to grow and develop into the nurses that they can become.

  I work in a big department, so I can really see the multicultural environment that there is at King’s. And that helps you see people at a different perspective, their beliefs and their cultures and their traditions. And they apply it to work as well, so you learn from that. And it’s just the teamwork, basically. Teamwork is everything, I think.

  What makes me proud of being in Team King’s is the support we get. There’s a lot of training and development for staff. There’s a lot of support. You don’t feel alone. There’s always somebody available who can help you. You’re not stuck. If you’re stuck, you can always go and ask somebody, and they’ll help you. It’s also one of the best hospitals to work in.

  Working at King’s, I think, will give you a lot of learning. There’s a lot of education and learning. We get to experience different things, and you get to explore and discover what your passion is, which part of nursing, which department, which area you want to work with. I think you get a lot of opportunity to explore all of those. And you get a lot of support when it comes to pursuing your passions, whichever way that you want to pursue it.
