The PRUH and South sites

We join together

The Princess Royal University Hospital is located in Bromley, Kent known locally as the PRUH. We care for patients in the boroughs of Bromley and Bexley in addition to Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. At PRUH and its associated sites, Orpington Hospital, Beckenham Beacon, and Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup, we offer you the opportunity to grow your skills and work with a world class healthcare provider.

Our services are focused on supporting the community and include:

  • acute and post-acute medicine
  • surgery and theatres
  • women’s and children’s
  • critical care
  • precision medicine
  • and clinical support services.

Our specialties include:

  • emergency
  • frailty
  • medicine
  • and stroke.

As well as opportunities to thrive in your professional life, working at the PRUH or its nearby sites also offers a good quality of life.

Offering more value for money than inner London, Bromley is a superbenvironment for family living, with great schools, leisure and retail facilities. It has great links to Kent – often called ‘the garden of England’ – and it’s excellent parks, nature reserves and historical sites. Kent also has some of the UK’s highest rated beaches.

Living in Bromley also offers quick links to central London (around 30 minutes) and a good transport network around Kent, as well as Eurostar services to Europe.

The PRUH and Orpington Hospital are both close to Orpington train station. A free King’s shuttle service runs between the two sites.
