Being a part of the team is always a great feeling. Come along. It’s not just a job. It’s a family. It’s a good network to work for, and you can always be proud to work for the NHS.

The thing which really counts to me is being appreciated by all the staff we support within the library. So the feedback that we’re helping people, whether they’re from healthcare assistants up until the senior managers, we’re trying to support everyone here at King’s. So that’s what really counts to me is making a difference.

King’s is a very multi-diverse community, in a way. There’s a sense of belonging here that I have not felt when I was working with other organisations. It makes you feel you’re part of a family, then we look after each other. The management is very understanding, flexible, and there’s a lot of… How do I say? Togetherness again, within different teams as well. It’s something that you don’t get elsewhere.

Get in touch with us. And I think it’s really important to speak to managers that are recruiting. I think it’s really important to speak to people that might be your potential colleagues. Come and look around. It’s a really friendly site. All of our five sites are really welcoming. See what you can find out about the organisation and then come and get involved. There’s so many opportunities in the organisation, whether that’s training, development, and like I said, the specialties are so vast. I think there’s something for everybody in this trust. So yeah, just come and ask us, and we’re more than happy to answer any questions, but we’d really like you to come and join team King’s.

I’m really proud to be a part of the King’s family because I gained the opportunity, more experience, gained skills, and build my qualification.

It’s all in that word, being a team. So, I think I work with a very strong team where we all support one another, and help and assist wherever we can, and try to give the best possible patient care. It can be stressful. We can be happy and sad, but we come back here every day to support one another. And it’s our local hospital, so it’s good to work here.

“I joined four years ago and I love working here. It’s given me lots of development opportunities and there’s great leadership. Senior managers are always there, available on the ground when support is required. This is my local hospital, and a great place to work.”

The team is always really supportive and there’s always a big atmosphere within the hospital. And getting people back, everyone works together to get the best patient care and to get them home safely as possible. So, everyone pushes each other. Every day you’re learning. Every day you’re meeting someone new. Every day you learn something new from, if it’s the MDT or the patient themselves, and just getting to work with people is the biggest gift of all.

I think working at King’s is a really lovely place with not just the environment that we work in, with the people, the pathways, the values, and the priorities that the trust is aiming to adhere to and improve patient care.
